Penn’s Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics (LDI) featured CHEA Team members Jaya Aysola, Michelle Munyikwa, and Kaliya Greenidge in a recent blogpost. It highlights a recently published article in the New England Journal of Medicine on racial misrepresentation in medical education. The blog emphasizes the importance of reflection as it discusses how the team responded to a critique of misrepresentation of Pima Communities in their paper. There is much more work to be done in the medical community as we move towards achieving health equity. Hopefully, the recommendations put forth promote change in medical school curriculum.
