Keeping up with CHEA

Aug 30, 2021

It’s been a busy summer for CHEA! Our team has been hard at work and we have a few updates to share.

The Healthier Together Study, a 5 year initiative, developed an app to promote health behaviors related to cancer prevention: Promoting Collaborative Goal Setting for Cancer Prevention Among Primary Care Patients Through mHealth: Mixed Methods Evaluation of a New App

This study explored data on disparities in emergency room wait times between Black and White patients. Black patients were found to wait significantly longer than their white counterparts: Understanding Contributors to Racial/Ethnic Disparities in Emergency Department Throughput Times: A Sequential Mixed Methods Analysis

Pipeline programs for underrepresented minorities in medicine were found to be effective for students looking to enter the medical field. This team of medical students evaluates a summer pipeline program done at Penn: A New Way of Evaluating Effectiveness of URM Summer Pipeline Programs.

We will continue to update our website with new studies! To see more of CHEA’s past publications, visit our research page.
